Mr Con Premiere Set to Celebrate 8-Year Journey with Cast, Crew & Friends

Hi everyone--Thad here. To be honest, I thought this film would never get finished. But setting a date for the premiere supplied me with the fire to get over the finish line. On Saturday, October 24, 2026, Shumway Studio will will host a screening of our own “Mr. Con” at Emagine Theaters in Batavia, Illinois, gathering cast, crew, friends and family for a showing celebrating the documentary’s journey.

The event will feature a red carpet session, a screening in our own private 110 seat theater, a post-film Q&A, and a reception in the High Roller Room. This marks the culmination of an 8-year journey led by myself and Ed Plamondon, who dedicated years to developing, filming, and editing the project.

Our premiere will begin with a red carpet session from 12:30 to 2:00 PM in the lobby, where a photographer will be taking pictures of attendees on the red carpet in front of the film's banner. The screening will take place at 2:00 PM in Theater 12. Immediately following the film, we plan to have a Q&A session with Ed and myself and some people featured in the movie, to allow audience members to ask questions and delve deeper into this story. The afternoon will conclude with a reception from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the High Roller Room inside the theater complex with a few snacks. Our guests are welcome to purchase additional food and drinks.

Ed and I are really excited to share this film to the world for the first time. We've put in alot of work, and hope that translates to an engaging movie experience. We also look forward to seeing and thanking the many people who helped us with this film, who acted in it, provided locations, their skills, advice, or all the above! So many people helped out and it is greatly appreciated.

Can't wait to see you there!
